FRACTAL NATURE inspiration came from a conversation with an artist friend. She enticed me to learn about the nature of fractals; the more I discovered, the more I saw the relationship to the forms of the rocks, repeated over and over again, a never ending repetition of form produced by nature.
"The mathematical principles of fractals are reflected in the forms of nature's creations."
The slideshow is a chronological sequence of the project from August 2009 to March 2010, when the last rock sculpture was tumbled by an ice floe.
