RIDE OF THE VALKYRIE GODDESSES 2007
2007 was a dry summer and the project site was the largest installation since 2005, with numerous female figures, some measuring up to 10 feet high. The primary piece, 'Ride of the Valkyries', became the source of inspiration. Once the piece was complete, Wagner's overture began playing in my head, as if the sculpture spoke to me with it's own sound. As the project evolved, the Valkyries of early Summer became Goddesses of Fall, toned softer by the early autumn light.
