I experimented with cement after the sculpture was balanced.
But, not all scilptures were cemented.

The use of cement was an expeirment to to blend balance with soft connections between each rock and the point of balance.

Another element to balance was to experiment with the contrast between the textures of the rocks, and the smooth molded cement surfaces. Molding the cement was the same as working with clay.

The works of Douglas Cardinal and Antonio Gaudi inspired the application of the curved form to balance.
I identify with the sculptural qualities in their architecture, as well as the balance of form and integration with the surrounding environment.
