"Arctic Garden"

The purpose of this project was to provide a garden feature, with a seating place  within the sculpture setting.

The four vertival rock post refer to the four members of the family and seasons of the year.

Additional carving into the 'foundation rock', presents the character of a polar bear, swimming under ice. Conversley, a falcon is rendered by the negative space surrounding the form of the polar bear. 

 

Most of the rocks for this project were imported from India. The 'foundation rock' was locally acquired.

The carving was completed with angle grinders, brushes and secured with rebar and cement.
